This elegant beaded silk scarf is glossy, warm and soft, with Latin flair and a hint of evening glitz. In Spanish, Encendida means "flaming,"as the textures of this scarf appear to be!
Flame Chevron is a Mexican lace stitch which allows the colors of handpainted yarn to dance across this scarf like flames. The beaded sawtooth edging highlights the shine of this precious yarn.
The lace seems complex, but is easily learned after a few repeats and the project flies off the needles at 4 stitches to the inch. Tilli Tomas Asteroid or Disco Lights yarn has been beaded already, so you simply knit the beads right in to the edging with no sewing. Because all the beads are on the ends of the scarf, there's no risk of catching a chill from a cold glass bead on the neck.
